Cedar is naturally rot-resistant and has some insect-repelling properties due to its oils. I have not seen any signs of termites or rot during my testing period. However, the keyword here is “resistant,” not “immune.” If you place the shed directly on damp grass without a proper gravel or concrete base, the bottom wood will eventually rot. I used a concrete slab and sealed the wood, which should give it a long life.
